Frequently Asked Questions

Do students need an email address to log in?
No. We built TrackEDU specifically to avoid PII (Personally Identifiable Information) issues. Students access their Pro Ecosystem dashboard using an anonymous, auto-generated ID token (e.g., EMWA482) and a Class Passcode. It requires zero IT integration.
Can teachers see points awarded by other teachers?
Yes! TrackEDU provides a single, unified database for your whole school. If Mr. Smith awards 5 points in Math, Ms. Johnson will instantly see those points reflected in her Science class.
How do we get our student list into the system?
For school-wide plans, we provide a simple CSV template. You paste your student names, grades, and classes into the sheet, upload it, and our system automatically builds your entire database and auto-balances the houses in seconds.
Is our school data secure?
Absolutely. We run on highly secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase). We do not run ads, we do not track student web data, and your school administrator can permanently wipe your entire database with a single click at any time.
What happens after the Design Partner Pilot?
If you love the system, you can transition to a paid annual contract (~$1.90/student). If it's not a fit for your school, you can export all your data to CSV and walk away. No data is held hostage.
What login options does TrackEDU support?
TrackEDU supports Google Workspace login via OAuth for teachers and staff. Students use a secure, anonymous ID token combined with a Class Passcode — no email or password required. We do not currently integrate with SIS platforms like iSAMS or PowerSchool, but all data can be exported to CSV.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
Your data belongs to you. You can export all student points, history, and rosters to CSV anytime. If you cancel, we retain your data for 90 days. After that, it's permanently deleted unless you've exported it.
How does TrackEDU differ from classroom tools like ClassDojo?
TrackEDU and ClassDojo serve distinct, often complementary purposes within a school. While ClassDojo is an excellent tool for individual classroom management and teacher-parent communication, TrackEDU is a specialized school-wide culture platform designed specifically for House Systems.

Where classroom tools focus on the relationship between a single teacher and their students, TrackEDU provides the "vertical" layer that connects all grade levels through a unified House identity. It automates the administrative burden of school-wide points, provides live campus-wide leaderboards, and offers high-level gamification (like 3D badges and streaks) designed to engage students from Primary through to Secondary. Many of our partner schools use both: ClassDojo for classroom-level feedback and TrackEDU as the unified engine for their House System.
What is a house point tracker and why do schools need one?
A house point tracker is a digital tool that records and displays points earned by students for their houses. Schools need one to replace manual spreadsheets, ensure consistency across teachers, and keep students engaged with real-time leaderboards and gamification.
Can TrackEDU be used for inter-house competitions and school events?
Absolutely! TrackEDU is designed specifically for inter-house competitions, sports days, academic challenges, and school-wide events. The Projector Mode displays live house rankings on any screen — perfect for assemblies and sports days.
How does TrackEDU help build school culture and community?
TrackEDU transforms school culture by making positive behavior visible and celebrated. Students see their contributions matter to their house. Parents can view live standings via a link. When students feel connected to their house, school spirit grows naturally.
Is TrackEDU suitable for primary schools, secondary schools, or both?
TrackEDU works brilliantly for both. Primary schools love the simple interface and visual leaderboards. Secondary schools appreciate the robust gamification features (streaks, badges, power boosts) that keep older students engaged. Our system adapts to any school structure.
